Dr. Payam P. Haghighi M.S., D.D.S.
Dr. Haghighi, popularly referred to as Dr. “H” attended John’s Hopkins University where he was awarded his Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics. While studying, he worked as a Biologist at NIH (National Institutes of Health). Shortly after graduation, he attended the University of Maryland, College of Dentistry where he was awarded his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. H. was accepted in an Oral Surgery Clerkship at UMB where he received extensive training. He has also received advanced training in Implant placement. Dr. H. is a member of ADIA (American Dental Implant Association), AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), ADA (American Dental Association), and MSDA (Maryland State Dental Association). He is committed to best practices and will continue to keep himself up to date with the latest information and technology available in Dentistry.
Dr. Alan R. Heller, Orthodontist
Dr. Alan R. Heller has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for nearly 20 years! He graduated from the University of Maryland – College Park with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics, and earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was awarded special citations for both orthodontics and periodontics. Dr. Heller then received his post-doctorate orthodontic specialty training and his Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry.
Dr. Heller has been practicing orthodontics exclusively in Maryland since completing his specialty training. He is currently president of the Southern Maryland Dental Society. Dr. Heller previously served as Chairman of the Programs Committee and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Maryland Dental Society for several years.
He is a strong proponent of participating in organized dentistry and maintains active membership in the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Maryland State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Heller is a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, Metro II Study Club and the Greater Washington Dental Science Club, all of which provide Dr. Heller with continuing education on a regular basis and an opportunity to interact with many of the top dental professionals in the area.
Liza Lymbertos, CDA, Dental assistant
Liza has been a Maryland State Association Certified Dental and Ortho Assistant since 2001 and a Dental Radiation Technologist since 1999. She is also certified in LUMINEERS, CPR, and Infection Control. Liza has extensive experience in working with juvenile and young adult orthodontics and general dentistry patients. She maintains her dentistry expertise staying up to date with the latest technologies by regularly taking CE Courses. Liza is fluent in Russian, Armenian, and Farsi.
